Position: Health Plan Training Specialist Position Summary: The Health Plan Training Specialist will be responsible for delivery and evaluation of comprehensive training programs for a focused area within health plan operations. The Specialist will develop training materials, administer training programs, evaluate effectiveness of training against program objectives and collaborate with the business and management to recommend improvements. Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities * Develop and deliver targeted training solutions, including new hire onboarding and recurrent team training, in support of business objectives * Develop Health Plan Operations subject matter expertise through classroom attendance, job shadowing and on-the-job experience * Model the Lumeris values, promote a learning culture and cultivate a welcoming environment * Facilitate courses while demonstrating desired behaviors, including delivering in an engaging manner, communicating effectively, adhering to program expectations and managing the classroom * Develop training using instructional design methodology through all phases of development; including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation * Partner with area leaders, Instructional Designers, subject matter experts and learners to ensure that learning objectives, training content and delivery methods address identified needs * Ensure content accurately reflects current policies, procedures and regulatory amp; client standards * Manage classroom logistics, including scheduling rooms, preparing materials, tracking attendance and sending follow-up surveys * Evaluate trainee performance readiness throughout the training process; provide individualized, targeted feedback; and coach learners to help them succeed * Collaborate with Health Plan Training colleagues to enable knowledge sharing across the organization * Other duties as assigned Requirements: Experience, Qualifications and Education * Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organization Communication, Industrial Organizational Psychology or related field strongly preferred * 2+ years of internal and/or external training experience, including virtual platform training delivery * Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles in the development and delivery of training * Demonstrated ability to effectively coach participants in a performance-based learning culture * Experience in the healthcare industry preferred * Successful classroom management, including preparing the room and materials in advance, encouraging active participation and effectively managing interruptions, pushback and questions. * Accomplished at inspiring and motivating others to perform well * Readily solicits and accepts feedback from others * Able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and resiliency while dealing with ambiguity * Able to manage and adapt to change * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Desire to continuously grow knowledge of the training industry, including new methodologies Lumeris is an EEO/AA employer M/F/V/D.
