    Job Description

    As a Manager on the Global Corporate Communications team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering compelling narratives that resonate with diverse internal and external audiences, enhancing our brand's reputation, and driving engagement through strategic storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience with media relations, strong project management skills, with a knack for identifying what is newsworthy and culturally relevant. This individual is expected to:

    • Participate in the development of compelling stories that showcase Visa’s innovation, leadership, and impact in the payments industry
    • Help maintain strong relationships with key journalists. Proactively pitch stories to top tier media outlets and respond to inquiries to secure positive coverage
    • Write and edit press releases, op eds, talking points, and other external and internal communications materials.
    • Craft compelling content for internal, digital and social channels designed to engage readers and encourage them to click to read more
    • Active management of our awards and media training programs and updates to key corporate materials
    • Collaborate cross functionally with investor relations, legal, and other teams to align messaging and strategies while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders

    This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Basic Qualifications
    5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications
    6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

    Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field

    5 or more years of professional communications experience, a mix of in house and agency roles is a bonus

    Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into compelling messages

    Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

    High level of emotional intelligence, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast paced environment

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
