As a Risk Assessment Manager, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for proactively analyzing global financial crime risks, trends, and typologies. The role holder undertakes high-level risk assessments, presents findings to Bank partners in well-crafted written products and presentations, and supports strategic decision-making across all lines of business.

You will be responsible for:
Pre-emptively and proactively assisting in identifying financial crime risk through data and qualitative analysis
Analyzing HSBC data, tactical analysis reports, and investigations output, as well as open sources-such as press, industry, and academic reporting-to identify emerging risks relating to financial crime
Authoring high-level strategic assessments of financial crime risk facing the bank, including forecasting and horizon scanning for emerging trends stemming from broader geopolitical or economic factors
Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data and qualitative information to draw solid conclusions about risks facing the bank, as well as strong writing skills to present complex analysis in an easily digestible form
Self-starter with strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality and adhere to established deadlines
Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent mainframe systems and software packages
