    As a Manager of Fraud Analytics you will analyze HSBC transactions, customer and fraud data in order to create, recommend, implement and optimize fraud rules and strategies and provide analytic and SME support to new products, services, and functionality for WPB and Fraud Management. Coordinates assignments which may encompass production support, system enhancements, product upgrades, and development projects. Participate in the installation, testing, and implementation of vendor supplied software upgrades and engage in on-call support duties.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    As a Manager of Fraud Analytics you will utilize SAS EG, and other analytics tools, to analyze historical transaction data across a range of products to identify new fraud trends and areas of strategy optimization. Prioritize and implement Fraud initiatives and strategies based on fraud outcomes, portfolios, and business goals and forecast future fraud losses and track performance against plan. Develops and presents recommendations to Management team and works to help determine and implement best-in-class, functionality, and ideas.

    Requirements

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.

    • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience. Prior knowledge of fraud is preferred but not required.

    • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in the relevant programming language(s), i.e. SAS/SQL/R/Python

    • The ability to work with limited supervision; the ability to make decisions regarding assigned projects independently or with limited direction from management.

    • Ability to discuss complex analytics with both experts and senior management.

    • Ability to lead groups of individuals on a project basis; the capability to render quick, decisive actions as required by sudden crises.
