We insure nearly 15,000 physicians, 4,000 dentists and numerous hospitals and long-term care facilities. We are currently seeking candidates for available Claims Examiner position for our NYC office. Candidates with Adjusters License, health care and/or legal background (education or experience), strong oral and written communication skills and analytical ability will qualify for the position. Job Functions and Responsibilities * Work directly with Management to handle case set-up, analyze and adjust monetary reserves, review policy coverages, assignment of field personnel and defense counsel, file management, trial monitoring, case negotiations, excess updates, ebilling, etc. * Periodically attend court conferences and regularly attend interoffice conferences * Participate in discussions of files relative to settlement options, defensibility, reserve adjustments
