We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join our Salt Lake City, UT office to work on a hybrid schedule (training is onsite).

    CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT (CRM) evaluates credit risk transactions and approves, rejects or modifies them considering the availability and appropriateness of arrangements for reducing risk or risk mitigation. The department also assigns Internal Credit Ratings; establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board; monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Credit Officer, Chief Risk Officer & senior management. CRM also interacts with business units to ensure that credit risk assessments are factored into business decisions. WEALTH MANAGEMENT (WM) provides a comprehensive array of financial services and solutions to individual investors and small to medium-sized businesses and institutions covering: brokerage and investment advisory services; financial and wealth planning services; stock plan administration services; annuity and insurance products; securities-based lending, residential real estate loans and other lending products; banking; and retirement plan services. Primary Responsibilities

    • Accountable for daily operations and underwriting for the Security
    • Based Lending product
    • Perform functions related to maintaining and processing key client accounts updates
    • Review specific loans/borrowers analytically looking for potential credit risks
    • Follow the required actions as outlined in the Risk Governance Framework Policies & Procedures and other risk management processes
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders- Perform other duties as assigned by the team

    Skills Required:

    • Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong internal and external customer focus- Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
    • Detail-oriented and keen to identify and mitigate risk within a process
    • Ability to communicate clearly in understanding key concept of risk underwriting
    • Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple teams and different regions
    • Quick learner to be able to grasp concepts to perform the functions required
    • Technically adapt to working with new systems

    Experience:

    • BACHELOR DEGREE REQUIRED (Finance, Accounting, or business related fields)
    • PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN LENDING OPERATIONS within a Financial Services company
