The BCMA IB Intern Analyst NE is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The BCMA Intern Analyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

While you're in the Summer Analyst role, you're eligible to participate in Citi's mentorship program, which will provide further training and guidance during and after the Program. Top performing Summer Analysts often return to Citi after graduation to work as Full Time Analysts.

The Strategic Shareholder Advisory Group is a critical and growing part of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group focused on advising Citi's global clients and their boards of directors on issues related to shareholder activism, takeover defense, contested M&A, corporate governance and investor dynamics. The Data Science Summer Analyst will play an important role working together with more senior CIB officers and professionals, and participating in particular client transactions, live projects or assignments. In addition to preparing client materials, the Data Science Analyst will work directly with senior leaders in the M&A group and the Chief Data Scientist to generate novel and differentiated analytics, platforms and tools to improve our understanding of clients' shareholders, and create efficiency and scale. The Data Science Summer Analyst will be required to balance a broad set of deliverables ranging from direct client work to developing insightful and practical analytical models, and will therefore require strong time management and communication skills in combination with core technical abilities.

*You are graduating between December 2024 and June 2025 and have a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above with a bachelor's or master's degree in data science, economics, finance, statistics, or another quantitative field.

Proper performance of the duties of the Summer Analyst position requires the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge. Accordingly, the academic requirement for assuming the Summer Analyst position is ongoing attainment a Bachelor-level degree with concentrated coursework in Finance, Economics and/or closely related areas.
