Citi is looking for Summer Associates to join its Compliance function. Compliance professionals at Citi are responsible for maintaining the high level of excellence and integrity for which we are known and ensuring that we are operating in compliance with applicable laws and regulations of the 97+ countries in which we operate. The relationships you'll build with our Compliance professionals, regulatory agencies and business partners will be critical to our success as we move forward with the future of banking. What's more, your contribution in Compliance will help our clients thrive with the knowledge they are working with a company that will always be the best for its customers.

Summer Associates will begin their program with a week of training sessions. These functional and technical training programs are designed to promote professional development and effective work habits during our interns' time here at Citi. Summer Associates will undergo an orientation to Citi, including business overviews from seasoned professionals within the various Compliance disciplines. The program will offer learning and development opportunities in technical skills as well as building communication and presentation skills. Summer Associates are also matched with a junior and a senior mentor who will guide, support and mentor their Summer Associate throughout the summer.

Your time here will look something like this.

The Compliance Summer Associate Program is a 10-week program in a specific role within one of the Compliance disciplines including Advisory, Compliance Testing, Financial Crime Compliance, Regulatory Management and Cross-Enterprise Compliance. Summer Associates work closely with management teams and are provided the opportunity to add value to Citi through responsibilities structured to respond to the increasingly regulatory, quantitative and technical demands of the financial world especially as they relate to Risks and Controls. The Compliance Summer Associate Program is the main candidate source for the Full-Time Associate Program. This Program consists of key roles that are structured for completion within a two-month timeframe, reporting to Compliance professionals who can provide appropriate leadership direction, and provide the candidate with a variety of development opportunities and skills.

We want to hear from you if...

• You are currently pursuing a JD (graduating in December 2024 through June 2025)

• You will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future

• You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious

• You have a strategic and analytical mindset; possess strong data analytical skills

• You are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, quick-thinking and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously

• You are highly motivated to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment

• You have strong verbal and written communication skills

• You are focused on achieving group and client objectives and able to build and maintain relationships

• You are familiar with process improvement
