Leveraged Portfolio Group ("LPG") Analysts are an integral part of Citi's credit approval and origination process for Leveraged Finance transactions, as well as ongoing credit monitoring framework for Citi's Leveraged Finance Portfolio of client relationships, both Sponsor-backed and Corporates. Specifically, LPG Analysts will develop first-hand experience in leveraged buyout transactions ("LBOs") associated with top-tier Private Equity firms, where they produce in-depth analysis for Credit Approval Memos in close partnership with Leveraged Finance Capital Markets and Corporate & Investment Banking (in particular Financial Sponsors Group). Furthermore, LPG Analysts play a critical role in the ongoing evaluation of the clients' financial health and credit profile, allowing Citi to effectively manage its exposure against clients with highly leveraged credit structure. Our Bankers have a comprehensive understanding of the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients and can provide Analysts the opportunity to develop a sound foundation of credit skills. Combined with an appreciation of the broad set of services offered by Citi, this understanding allows us to effectively deliver innovative solutions to our clients, promptly identify early warning signs, as well as appropriately manage the credit exposure within Citi's global Leveraged Lending Portfolio.

We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The 2-year Analyst Program starts in July and begins with a comprehensive training program. While you're in the Analyst role, you're eligible to participate in Citi's mentorship program, which will provide further training and guidance during and after the Program. As a team in its expansion phase and with increasing visibility across the firm, LPG provides Analysts with tremendous opportunities for leadership development and career advancement. The experience, skill set and network that the LPG Analysts acquire are highly transferable and pave way for limitless opportunities both within Citi and throughout the financial services industry.

Your time here will look like this...

Provide analytical support across LPG's core functions:

• Credit Origination:
  • Manage credit approval process for all leveraged Sponsor-backed and Corporate deals
  • Produce in depth credit analysis to be used in Credit Committee discussions
  • Opine on all credit extension decisions with Senior Bankers
• Credit Monitoring:
  • Drive the Annual & Quarterly review process by providing key inputs and guidance throughout the memo production process
  • Facilitate credit discussions with Seniors in both Business and Risk
  • Opine on Citi's action plan in response to Companies' financial performance
• Portfolio Management:
  • Analyze large set of data and present an in-depth analysis of trends in the HY loan book
  • Draft presentations for Senior Management across LPG, Risk, and Capital Markets, as well as prepare materials for the Board and the Risk Management Committee
  • Respond to requests from regulators related to portfolio performance
• Strategic Projects:
  • Coordinate directly with Senior Management at Citi, including BCMA Heads, ICG Chief Risk Officer, CB Head and ICM Co-Heads in strategic initiatives Draft presentations for Seniors across LPG, Risk, and CM
  • Develop and execute on ideas aiming to extract efficiencies for ICM and Citi

• Team player with strong work ethic who demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence in daily interactions
• Strong writing, analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to break down large amounts of data into concise, easy to understand formats
• Ability to quickly and accurately find information upon a Banker / Manager's request * Ability to take on demanding responsibilities and work independently, effectively manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks at once.
