  • Responsibilities

    **In partnership with Citi’s Product Control organization, the Citi® University Partnerships in Innovation & Discovery (CUPID) Program is seeking high potential individuals to join Citi for a best-in-class leadership and development program! Product Control is a specialized area within the Controllers discipline and is principally associated with the Markets & Securities Services and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses. The Product Control team’s mission is to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of Citi’s books and records. Responsibilities include product line revenue and balance sheet validation, analysis and reporting, independent price verification, fair value hierarchy classification and valuation adjustments.

    The virtual program will run from Monday, August 9th through Friday, September 10th. This experience will equip you with the knowledge and training you need to play a valuable role on your team and establish a long-term career. At Citi, we value internal mobility and career growth. Selected candidates will join a 5-week virtual, paid program and work on interesting projects supporting our Buffalo Product Control team. Throughout the program, participants will have the opportunity to network with Citi colleagues, hear from senior leaders, receive mentorship and attend career preparation workshops and professional training. Projects are assigned based on participants’ skills and interests, as well as business needs. Program participants will be eligible to apply for and receive a full-time job offer from Citi within Product Control after completion of the program.

    Note: Full-time roles on the Product Control team are located in Getzville/Buffalo, NY. After Citi deems it safe and appropriate to return to the office, all participants who accept an offer are expected to relocate (if applicable) to the location that their offer was contingent upon. No relocation assistance will be provided.

  • Qualifications

    We want to hear from you if you meet one or more of the below criteria:

    • You have a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in in Finance, Accounting, or other business related field of study
      • Open to strong candidates who have pursued other undergraduate degrees
    • You have 0-3 years of relevant work experience (e.g. Accounting, Finance or other business-related fields)
    • Ability to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data
    • Ability to interpret data, identify inconsistencies, and recommend solutions based on analysis
    • Ability to carefully assess risk when business decisions are made
    • Ability to identify process gaps and control issues
    • Knowledge of Derivative and/or Bond products is a plus
