As the Executive Vice president of Technology you will be responsible for the technological vision, strategy and architecture in order to create maximum value for our business. Reporting to the president & COO, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineers and technologists focused on addressing stakeholder needs and optimizing the digital lending experience for small and medium sized business owners across the United States.

A successful candidate will be able to deliver results by effectively building relationships, collaborating, and driving change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Whether managing up or managing down, you understand the human element of leading an information technology organization and helping it succeed alongside its peer teams. You will exhibit empathy for different internal and external stakeholders with the ability to balance conflicting needs from different teams and work well with leaders and contributors from other disciplines.

KEY FOCUS AREAS AND CHALLENGES INCLUDE:

• Build a digital product for a highly agile and fast-growing company while meeting industry standards for quality and security
• Lead a growing organization of software developers, engineers, and IT professionals across multiple disciplines to scale to support our growth
• Collaborate and leverage data insights to identify opportunities to build a scalable platform that is more robust, resilient and secure

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive fintech advantage
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
• Help departments company-wide use technology profitably; use stakeholders' feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technologies
• Coach and develop software development and information technology team members to ensure engagement and retention
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; and monitoring, developing and rewarding performance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering; Master's degree preferred

• Minimum of 10 years working in a technological role

• Minimum of 5 years managerial experience

• Experience managing budgets and business-planning

• Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute strategy
