Your Team We are growing our CAT (National Catastrophe Team) claims team where we support our members who own Nationwides property insurance. The primary role of the National Catastrophe Team (NAT CAT) is to provide accurate, consistent, and timely claims response. Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Claims Leader; you have no direct reports. About You So, you think youve got what it takes to make the cut?     • Required state licensing or willingness to obtain it - which we help you with! * Previous customer facing experience * General knowledge of insurance policies and business practices with excellent customer service * Effective oral and written communication skills with multiple parties * Ability to prioritize tasks and take ownership of decisions Job Summary A typical day in the life of a CAT (Catastrophe team associate): * Hitting the road to manage a case load of Property claims, providing full service while remaining positive, we call this delivering an On Your Side experience * Service levels during a catastrophic event require flexibility, extended working hours and variable working conditions * Serving on NAT CAT requires associates to commit to working 365 days per calendar year with weekends and holidays considered normal workdays * Provides service via phone and email communications, in addition to face to face * Determining proper coverages * Ensures accommodations for the member * Maintains knowledge of industry repair procedures and local market pricing * Collaborating with policyholders, claimants, agents, and adjusters throughout process * Submits incident reports, reinsurance reports, and other information to claims leaders * Teaming up with internal departments to identify fraud and subrogation instances * Jumping in to complete other tasks as needed Compensation & Benefits You receive a competitive starting salary with opportunities to increase salary based on performance.
