Job Description Job Title: General Ledger Accountant Team: Location: Finance Lake Oswego, OR Manager: Status: Accounting Manager Full Time, Exempt Position Summary: NAVEX Global is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our high performance Accounting team at our corporate headquarters in Lake Oswego, Oregon. You will play a key role in our financial reporting process to ensure accurate and timely presentation of balance sheet and income statement activity. This position provides the opportunity to make an immediate impact at a growing company. A successful candidate should have a roll up your sleeves and get the job done attitude as well as the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment. In This Role You Will Often: * Manage completion and analysis of all balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with financial close deadlines; * Manage cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and other monthly journal entries. * Ensure all journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules are adequately documented * Record and balance intercompany transactions, including analysis of international transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany loan activity * Review and approve monthly close controls including TB tie out, JE log reconciliation, close checklist finalization, etc. * Analyze and process functional expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed asset depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassifying journal entries. * Perform detailed variance analysis on GL account activity, investigating actual to budget variances and presenting findings to executive management; * Perform end-to-end cash management responsibilities; * Support accounts payable operations by maintaining system of controls over vendor master data; * Assist in the preparation and filing of property tax returns and other statutory filings; * Support the external audit process by preparing documentation and answering questions; * Continuously identify and develop solutions for process efficiency to improve operations and productivity. * Escalate issues and present recommendations to management; * Perform ad hoc technical accounting research * Assist in special projects as needed. Skills & Requirements This Job Might Be For You If You Have: * A bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus; * 1+ years of experience in public accounting or industry (SaaS or software company preferred); * Proficiency with business software (Microsoft Word and Excel required; Intacct a plus); * An intellectual curiosity that seeks opportunities to do things better;
