    Corporate Services NBA 176 reviews - Secaucus, NJ Corporate Services will be an event professional who will assist with the development and execution of global League events targeted toward key internal/external stakeholders. This role will have a focus on VIP hospitality (social functions and meetings), in a high-energy, deadline and results driven department. Major Responsibilities: Primary: * Assist and in some cases take responsibility for planning and executing all aspects of global League social events and meetings * Dedicated to supporting the NBA's core internal business strategy (to include social events for BOG, NBA, WNBA, USAB, Marketing Partners, and G-League) including but not limited to: * Research and source suitable properties for events * Manage internal event reservation system (ME) as it relates to event planning * Assist or take ownership of VIP Services & Guest Programs * Assist or manage the development of floor plans, decor & event branding plans * Assist or manage menu planning * Assist or oversee event budget with a focus on cost-savings and value * Assist with developing schedules and agendas for events * Assist with the development, testing and implementation of event websites and evites * Assist with event guest list coordination * Assist or manage the staffing plans for events * Assist or manage event participant coordination and logistics * Reconcile event invoices via the e-invoicing system * Assist with contract negotiation, processing, and execution * Develop event profiles and recaps * Coordinate site visits and manage venue and vendor lists * Assist with VIP gifting and merchandise coordination * Assist with general administrative tasks such as shipping coordination, ordering supplies, event office set-up, etc. Secondary: * Liaise with NBA departments including Commissioner's Office, Content, Global Partnerships, Social Responsibility, Player/Talent Relations, International Group, Basketball Operations, Creative Services, Legal, Security, IT and Finance to develop and execute global VIP social events meetings and League events * Interact via verbal and written presentation to both internal and external entities Required Experience & Knowledge: * A minimum of 1 - 2 years of event planning experience (sports and entertainment field preferred) or recent college graduate with related internship experience * Ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written * Detail-oriented with strong organizational, multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills * Self-starter, while being a team player * High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Ability to travel - both domestic and international; approximately 50% travel * Experience in high-pressure, deadline driven environment required Educational Background Required: Bachelor's degree preferred 1 hour ago - save job - original job Apply On Company Site * Corporate Service jobs in Secaucus, NJ * Jobs at NBA in Secaucus, NJ * Corporate Service salaries in Secaucus, NJ NBA NBA 176 reviews Let employers find you Thousands of employers search for candidates on Indeed Upload Your Resume
