    The New Client Development (Inbound) Specialist will provide in-depth assistance to both clients and prospective clients. This role will assume ownership of the inbound client experience during the initial onboarding stage, applying a holistic approach that will ensure clients who choose TD Ameritrade receive the best onboarding experience in the industry. The goal of a New Client Consultant is to engage both prospective and new clients in a sales based conversation at the beginning of the relationship with TD Ameritrade in order to identify opportunities to increase the share of wallet.

    New Client Development Specialists are subject matter experts. With their extensive process and product knowledge, these associates will increase prospect conversion rates, uncover additional business opportunities, introduce and promote the products and tools clients need to be successful investors. By educating clients about the dynamics of the markets, they will de-mystify investing; instilling the confidence clients need to be successful investors. This enhanced service will help build and instill trust and loyalty, reaffirming the client's choice to invest with TD Ameritrade. This approach to serving the client during the on-boarding phase will go beyond basic achieving client satisfaction and seek to deliver client advocates by proactively identifying (and then providing) the tools, products, and service our clients need to be successful.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Needs-based consultation on what the client is looking for from their brokerage.
    • Educational walk through of the account opening process and new account application.
    • Assist clients with understanding TD Ameritrade's tool and resources and what tools may fit their individual needs and investing preference
    • Capitalize on superior onboarding and client due diligence to identify additional outside assets and position TD Ameritrade to win those assets, ultimately growing client share of wallet.
    • Engage clients in holistic portfolio discussions to better understand client circumstances and needs to increase funding rates of new accounts and send referrals to Branch partners for prospective and current clients to win additional assets.
    • Insure the client's first experience is a lasting experience by delivering in-depth product knowledge, industry knowledge and probing sales techniques aimed at capitalizing on new business opportunities through client referrals and or account consolidation.
    • Participate in a business-driven service campaign and pilots to improve TD Ameritrade results
    • During periods of high call volumes, be prepared to flex into the general client service queues and efficiently handle general client requests while still engaging in meaningful conversations to educate clients on tools, products, and services to meet their individual needs while focusing on finding additional outside assets and positioning the firm to grow client share of wallet
    • Place client directed equity, option, CD and Mutual Fund trades while effectively positioning the TD Ameritrade value proposition against our competitors in a manner that consistently wins business.
    • Provide input and recommendations for improvement regarding current policies, procedures, technologies, and tools via problem-solving process
  • Qualifications
    • Must be service and sales oriented and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and sales results
    • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in addition to strong problem solving and analytical abilities
    • Must possess a working knowledge of market operations with the ability to interpret these concepts clearly to the client
    • Must demonstrate a positive and professional image at all times
    • Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to provide best in class client on-boarding and excel in a service to sales role
    • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task under pressure while demonstrating strict attention to detail and remaining client focused
    • Strong probing and negotiation skills
    • Proficiency in using a personal computer, various database management programs and internet browser based applications
    • Series 7 (Registered Representative) and Series 66 required. Must have registration in all 50 states.
    • High school Diploma or Equivalent
    • 2-5 Years total Experience
    • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
