Localization Coordinator (Korean-English Translator) Location: El Segundo, CA Job Code: 844 # of Openings: 1 Description Localization Coordinator (Korean-English Translator) El Segundo, CA Job Description We are looking for a Localization Coordinator to join our SoCal Localization crew. The Localization Coordinator will work with our in-house Localization Team and our external partners in a rapidly changing environment to ensure the quality of a large volume of Nexon Americas game titles for our audience. His or her responsibilities will be, but are not limited to, translating and proofreading game content, web posts, and other game related documents as well as ensuring that linguistic quality adheres to our high standards and guidelines. What You Can Expect to Do in Your New Gig · Translate game-related documents and in-game text. · Proofread various translated materials for accuracy and provide linguistic feedback as needed. · Provide LQA support for various Nexon Americas game titles as needed. · Coordinate materials, logistics, scheduling, and other related administrative services needed to execute localization of Nexon Americas game titles. · Update and maintain glossary and localization related process documents up to date. Skills & Requirements Your qualifications include: · 1 - 2 year(s) of work experience · Prior game translation experience is a must · Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience · Creative writing techniques preferred · Experience with game testing, localization and or certification is a plus · Must be fluent in English and Korean with native proficiency required · English to Korean translation experience (exposure to TRADOS or to other CAT tools is a plus) · Strong interest in video / mobile games · Ability to effectively communicate and identify linguistic issues · Great attention to detail and passionate about the Korean language · Strong knowledge of Korean culture and our target audience · Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Excel knowledge · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Strong project coordination skills · Honesty and a strong work ethic · Aptitude to learn quickly and effectively · Ability to remain focused in a team-oriented environment · Experience and familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres is a plus About Nexon Nexon, a world leader in online games, is building a workplace based on mutual respect, good humor, and the pursuit of excellence because we believe that great games can only be built by amazing people.
