Mortgage Loan Officers are responsible for the origination of residential mortgage real estate loans for purchase, new construction, or refinancing of existing mortgage loans.

• Develop residential, real estate mortgage business; develop and maintain a call program with builders, brokers, real estate agents, and developers; provide information on lending policies, procedures, and products.
• Pre-qualify perspective applicants by analyzing their financial status, credit history, and employment verification to determine the feasibility of loan approval.
• Take loan applications from potential customers; maintain contact with applicants, brokers and correspondents regarding the current status of the application and gather any additional initial required documentation; explain terms and conditions to loan applicants; analyze loan to determine eligibility of loan as it relates to policies and procedures of the bank.
• Inform applicants of the mortgage approval process and any costs associated with it such as the appraisal and credit reports. Answer applicants' questions throughout the loan process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required. Four-year college degree in finance strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years sales experience in a related capacity is required.

LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS

This position requires registration through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008. Applicants must (1) have an active NMLS ID that is in good standing, and can be transferred to North Shore Bank's registry, or (2) must be willing to register prior to start date. Your employment with North Shore Bank is contingent upon successful NMLS registration and annual reregistration thereafter.

• Assembling Acumen: Adept in assembling and plumbing structural steel, installing decks, and welding steel stairs, handrails, and guardrails.
• Field Fabrication: Ability to perform field fabrication or assembly as per blueprints or instructions.
• Additional Skills: Proficiency in inserting sealing strips, wiring, insulating materials, and more in various structures.
