Our Operations team is currently seeking a full-time Loan Accountant to provide analysis, monitoring, and accounting support for Northwest FCSs loan portfolio. Reporting to the DirectorLoan Accounting, this position will join the team at our headquarters in Spokane, WA. Primary Responsibilities: Provide loan accounting services including legal document review, loan record set-up and maintenance in the loan accounting system. Communicate with our partners nationwide regarding loan accounting activities on participated and syndicated loans to ensure compliance. Perform loan servicing actions, such as requests for amendments to current pricing structures, payment structures, or commitment schedules. Provide technical advice and assistance to supported business units on loan structuring and accounting standards. Manage and monitor loan activity and reconciliations of assigned loan portfolio. Process high volume, high dollar loan accounting transactions. Job Requirements: Education/Experience The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two (2) years of accounting or commercial loan servicing experience is generally required. CPA certification desirable. Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of accounting systems, loan accounting, and related financial and management reporting. General understanding of credit related laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook as well as loan accounting and G/L systems. Excellent time management skills with a proactive approach to deadlines.
