    CYBERSECURITY REMEDIATION ENGINEER

    Serves as a lead technical expert in researching vulnerabilities, deciding if they are applicable to credit union servers/systems, and dispute the finding followed by applying the requisite patch. Utilizes knowledge and familiarity with vulnerability and threat mitigation in an enterprise IT environment. Develop and deliver solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications and data by establishing policies, practices and tools that prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification or disruption. Serve as an expert and advisor for configuring enterprise vulnerability tools, analyzing vulnerabilities, identifying the relevant threats, recommending corrective actions, summarizing results and presenting them to IT teams. Works with other technology staff, third party software vendors, and internal customers to develop strategies and plans to meet the needs of the credit union.   Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities. Willingness to work outside of regular business hours as required which can include evenings, weekends and holidays. Act as a backup to the Cybersecurity Engineer on all cyber and information security tasks.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in a Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science or a closely related field.
    • 3 to 5 years experience in Information Technology, Vulnerability Management or Information Security
    • Specific experience with the following preferred: securing multiple platforms and operating systems; understanding of network and architecture; patch management and vulnerability remediation best practices.
    • Certifications preferred in one or more of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, and GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and System Security Practitioner (SSCP).
