    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    • Reporting to our Operational Risk Resolutions Manager, you will lead the charge on resolving compliance and business issues by assessing and instilling preventative measures, performing root cause analysis and sizing the affected population, designing and launching a prospective solution (manual or automated), and remediating affected customers. Ensure appropriate root cause analysis, accurate customer remediation, and effective go-forward controls (preventative and detective).
    • Redesign, standardize, and improve our processes to increase loan conversion rates and reduce compliance risk. Lead with a "Customer First" mentality to improve our customer experience in the process.
    • Grow and cultivate company relationships by working with cross-departmental leaders, for example, by working with product and tech teams to identify and fix bugs within the system. You will work with every team in the company.
    • Work with the Operational Excellence team to create a governance framework and repository of policies, procedures, and controls that protect our business from compliance exposure.
    • Facilitate end-to-end exam management that includes understanding the engagement and scope of the exam, providing self-identification, assisting with sample requests, and challenging the findings for customer remediation.
    • Analyze data from corrective action reports, complaints, and compliance findings to present company risk trends to the senior leadership team.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • 1+ years general work experience in an office environment.
    • 1+ years experience reviewing sensitive information (customer documents, banking information), navigate and review customer accounts, notate findings, track information and report / raise important results and issues
    • Review operational processes to identify/assess risk to our organization
    • Work with partners in building controls that mitigate risk
    • Demonstrate research skills, responding to questions and potential legal and compliance issues or gaps, troubleshooting and drawing to a conclusion
    • Question status quo, provide credible challenge, demonstrate flexable thinking to multiple and varying situations
    • Familiarity with federal regulations under which OppFi operates; the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices Act (UDAAP), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Lending, Service members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and others
    • Eagerly solicit and implement feedback to improve work products and methods
    • Collaborative team effort mentality and ability to foster cross-departmental relationships
