The Operational Risk Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within operational risk and contributes to directional strategy of the U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) Consumer Business Operational Risk & Controls (CBORC) Risk Identification (UCRI) team. Requires in-depth understanding of Operational Risk framework elements with experience in the Consumer Finance industry and products (e.g. Retail Bank, Mortgage, Credit Cards, etc.). Leads the quarterly Key Operational Risk (KOR) Refresh process, collecting and evaluating operational residual risk data and information (e.g. operational losses, significant issues, emerging issues/risks, etc.), in partnership with other CBORC colleagues, to identify concentrations of residual risk outside of Citi's tolerance that require additional measurement and/or monitoring. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information, and with input from multiple people and on various teams. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas of USPB CBORC areas as well as with Operational Risk Management second line of defense partners. Significant impact on the success of the KOR qualitative assessment through collection and organization of complex deliverables. Work impacts the entire USCB business, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the USPB CBORC organization. RESPONSIBILITIES:
