JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for settlement and reconcilement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Responsible for performing general card operational accounting including daily settlement, reconciliation and monthly certification of General Ledger accounts related to merchant services, chargebacks, issuing and acquiring activities.
Interact with Finance, Accounting, as well as internal and external auditors and vendors.
Serve as subject matter expert in a variety of areas related to card reconciliations and processing to include but not limited to chargeback processing.
Responsible for completing the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of loan, deposit, and card related data including management reporting.
Identify and implement controls and process improvements.
Participate in projects and initiatives related to operations and reporting.
Collaborate with team members to ensure procedures are current and documented.
Create management reporting and complete periodic certification of card, loan, or deposit related system user access.
Detailed understanding of all card and general ledger systems.
Performs strong analysis of reconciliations, deciphering highly complex exceptions between systems for assigned accounts
Assigned to complex accounts
Performs root-cause analysis on why exceptions exist and leads the effort in resolving them
Analyzes trends, enters exception data, and ensures proper aging
Communicates complex break reports to either internal groups within the firm or correspondents outside the firm. Monitors resolution.
Participate in Audit process and interact with internal and external auditors
Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task, handle high volumes, and support cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey information
Able to independently research and solve simple to moderately complex scenarios
Solid networking skills, strong ability to establish relationships with internal clients
Strong attention to detail
Critical thinking with the awareness to know when to challenge or question
Solid MS Office skill with emphasis in excel
Aptitude for following process and procedures
High School Diploma or Equivalency PLUS
2+ years of related professional experience (commercial banking/financial services) OR 4+ years of overall banking experience
Bachelor’s Degree desired and may be considered as 1-2 years overall experience
BASE PAY:
$61,594.00 - $72,020.00
Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
