    SUMMARY

    The Operations Associate performs a variety of department duties, learns and processes asset transfers by means of electronic/manual processes. Duties are assigned in accordance with department procedures and include customer service, reconciliation, document review, and research. In this position you will learn the basics of the ACAT department functions and terminology.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Gain an understanding of various transfer types and systems used.

    • Accurate and timely processing of client requests to move cash and/or securities into the Stifel client account.

    • Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, with financial advisors, branch support, other operations areas, and financial institutions.

    • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

    • Support department administrative needs including, imaging and indexing documents, filing reports, compiling and organizing client mailings.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    • 0-2 years professional business related experience required.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

    • Ability to learn general understanding of rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department.

    • Initiative and self-direction when performing tasks with ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines.

    • Able to handle large workload that varies based on projects and heavy volume periods.
