Summary

Stifel’s various Operations departments provide critical back-office support to our advisors and clients.

As an Operations Intern at Stifel, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with knowledgeable operations professionals and gain practical experience in a variety of specialized groups within Operations. This internship will provide you with exposure to critical operational processes, help you develop your analytical skills, and offer insights into the daily functions that support Stifel’s client services and overall operations.

We have opportunities available in the following operations departments, among others:

• Stifel Support
• New Accounts
• Security Transfer, ACT, Capital Markets
• Advisory

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn basic job functions and responsibilities within the appropriate Operations department you are assigned to such as:
  • Collaborate with operations teams to support with various business functions within operations.
  • Support the operations teams in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies and enhancing the overall client experience.
  • Conduct research and analysis on operational processes and industry trends to contribute to process improvements and identify potential risks.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in operations and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
• Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. Previous coursework or experience in operations, accounting, or finance preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant financial systems and industry practices.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Additional Information

Stifel’s Headquarter Internship Program will be 10 weeks in person at our downtown St. Louis location.
