    • VP, Relationship Banker Job Locations US-CA-Irvine | US-CA-Los Angeles | US-WA-Seattle | US-CA-San Francisco ID 2017-2377 # of Openings 1 Category Real Estate/Structured Finance Overview The VP, Relationship Banker is responsible for soliciting qualified clients and loan opportunities for income property loan originations that meet the Bankrsquo;s credit policies and lending guidelines and should be an established income property lender with close contacts with income property investors and brokerage firms. High quality credit and analytical skills are required. Responsibilities * Responsible for working closely with underwriting and due diligence process and be responsible for analyzing credit requests, identifying credit risks, determining appropriate credit structures, and making sound credit recommendations. * Track record of sales volume performance in term lending for commercial income properties, with heavy emphasis on multifamily properties. * The VP, Relationship Banker should be an established income property lender with many close contacts with income property investors and brokerage firms. * The VP, Relationship Banker will work closely with the Head of Commercial Real Estate Banking to assure a high quality client experience. * The VP, Relationship Banker must also be able to assist in providing competitive market intelligence to management in order to fine tune product offerings and maintain profitability. * Responsible for adherence to all compliance program, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by established due dates. * Responsible for working closely with business partners to introduce additional products and services including but not limited to depository, treasury management, commercial banking, escrow and exchange. * Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by establishing due dates. Qualifications Knowledge and Skills: * Successful track record in developing new business relationships in the geographic market where assigned. * Knowledge of applicable regulations governing areas of responsibility. * Knowledge and understanding of commercial credit policies and procedures, including bank operations policies and procedures. * Knowledge of commercial loan structuring and documentation. * Excellent organization and analytical skills. * Proficient in multi-tasking, prioritizing projects, and the ability to make sound business decisions. * Professionalism with strong presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills to conduct formal presentations, address potential and existing client concerns, and communicate with constituents. * Ability to assess business and customer needs and implement successful solutions using creativity, innovation and judgment. * Ability to learn and follow institution policies regarding lending process. * Strong initiative that drives results and negotiation skills to initiate, develop and secure relationships with new and existing clients. * Self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision. * Demonstrated sales and marketing capabilities with a good understanding of all banking products and services applicable to target client segment. * Flexibility in working situations; individual in this position often works at other branch sites as needed. * Must be proficient in a Windows environment, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Education and/or Experience: Bachelorrsquo;s degree in business or finance or MBA is ideal. Minimum 2 to 5 years income property lending and credit experience required. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
