    The primary function of the Mortgage Loan Processor is to ensure timely and accurate processing of all loans originated by Mortgage Loan Officers. They obtain initial loan information for submission through an AUS, send it to underwriting, submit documentation to clear underwriter conditions and obtain necessary items to prepare file for closing.

    LOCATION: Eugene, OR

    PAY RANGE: $18.31 - $27.46 per hour, eligible for monthly production bonus

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review and analyze initial loan application and supporting documentation provided, evaluating if additional documentation will be needed to satisfy loan conditions for approval.
    • Review and analyze standard documentation throughout process including: loan application, credit report, employment/income, assets, other verifications, sales contract, DO/DU/LP Findings, preliminary title report, flood certificate, fraud report, hazard/flood/PUD/Condo insurance(s), appraisal(s) and all other documents applicable to the loan.
    • Order verifications, appraisals and preliminary title reports; subordinations; modifications; account transfers; requesting other critical documentation needed to process a file.
    • Perform income review and calculations; W2, 1099, Retired and Self-Employed income.
    • Complete detailed research on revised loans; compile information for underwriting and closing; and assist Loan Officers in meeting underwriting conditions.
    • Register loans and obtain FHA and VA I.D. numbers, as applicable.
    • Ensure all applications, forms, documents and disclosures are completed properly prior to submitting to underwriting.
    • Coordinate and engage with borrowers, realtors and title companies.
    • Ensure processing input fields are complete and accurate.
    • Confirm documents are labeled correctly and in the correct placeholders, with comments attached as needed.
    • Maintain a pipeline report of loans efficiency and accurately. Review pipeline daily to make sure new loans are moving through milestones as projected.
    • Review pipeline with Loan Officer weekly to ensure file details and closing projections are aligned.
    • Review pipeline with management as required, sharing closing projections and discussing aged pipeline to determine if loans need to be denied or withdrawn.
    • Follow all State & Federal Credit Union and Mortgage Lending regulatory compliance requirements and complete annual training as necessary.
    • Obtain and maintain NMLS registry.
    • Operate under regulation, quality control and department required timelines. Identify and communicate issues which may prevent reaching these timelines.
    • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential and proprietary Credit Union information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Qualified candidates for this position will have relevant education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions and meet the minimum performance expectations for this position with or without an accommodation.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE:

    Two years of similar or related mortgage lending experience.

    EDUCATION:

    Equivalent to a high school diploma.

    An equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position will be considered in lieu of the outlined requirements.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office-related work is primarily conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment. Our office spaces include traditional office lighting (including fluorescent lighting), as well as shared office spaces and facilities that result in consistent and frequent noise (moderate and often louder than ambient noise), conversations among employees and/or members, interruptions and other similar distractions. 

    WORK HOURS: This job can typically be done within a Monday through Friday schedule; however, based on events going on there will be times when evening and weekend work is required with little or no notice.
