Responsibilities: Assure that once all information is received it is accurate, it meets compliance standards, and it aligns with company policies Verify mortgage applications including supporting documents to be certain they contain all pertinent information for loan approval Conduct a thorough search of clients’ financial and employment history to ensure accuracy of application and documents Inquire about any additional information that is needed to determine loan risk Communicate and document reasons for approval or rejection of loans so clients and loan officers are well-informed of decisions Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft office and automated underwriting systems Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, banking or similar field Familiarity with home loans and residential mortgages such as FHA, USDA, VA, conventional loan guidelines, and loan products Over 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience or mortgage lending experience is required Strong decision-making and communication skills Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 yearly salary plus bonus
