    OUR PROGRAM:

    The WEX Internship Program offers a robust experience for ambitious and curious students, who are interested in growing professionally and developing their skills to become the next generation of technology leaders.

    Our internship program is designed to provide interns hands-on, practical experiences while working alongside some of our industry's smartest teams; as well as providing immediate value to their teams and our leaders.

    As an intern, you will be challenged and offered the opportunity to make an impact across the business and be involved in the company's most critical business decisions.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE:

    • Aiding key projects in support of Shell Fleet Solutions growth and product expansion in 2021 across two countries and two platforms
    • You'll be exposed to numerous Shell-dedicated working groups but would predominantly coordinate deliverables on projects across sales, marketing, and non-fuel initiatives including, but not limited to:
      • GREENLOTS INTEGRATION (ELECTRIC VEHICLE/EV): Provide project support and gain EV experience
      • CANADIAN COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS: Carry out market research and gather competitive intel
      • FIELD SALES DECLINING VOLUME ANALYSIS: Work with leadership and data analyst to better understand customer's fueling behavior; support recommendations to mitigate volume loss or to promote quicker onboarding, etc.
      • VOLUME ACCELERATION IN FIELD SALES: Connect with our fleets who are fueling less than committed forecasted and understand why. Work with leadership to identify a pilot group of customers and see what incentives would drive volume lift etc.
      • FIELD SALES EXCELLENCE SURVEY: Develop a survey aimed at prospects who recently met with an Regional Sales Manager and inquire about their sales experience; work with leadership on action items and potential training opportunities.

    YOU WILL:

    • Have a curious mind and willingness to learn about emerging technologies in the energy space
    • Understand the importance of identifying the competitive landscape, and organizing the output in a format that would be relevant across multiple departments (sales, marketing, operations)
    • Be willing to work across multiple teams and departments, learning from various groups and confident in your interactions with multiple levels in the organization

  • Qualifications

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • At a minimum, you should be a rising junior, senior, OR masters-level student, in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program
    • Comfortable handling data and data analysis
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc.), G-Suite
    • Strong project management skills, including planning and execution
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information
    • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
