Payments Specialist / Analyst-Operations-Settlement Services
SECTION/UNIT:
Payments Section-Settlement Administration Unit
SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for the daily processing of incoming and outgoing wire transfers through MTS and to assist in overseeing the daily operation of the Payments Section. In this capacity, the operator is expected to ensure appropriate control over the processing of all transactions on the payment system (MTS) and ancillary deposit system (FLEXCUBE).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Enter payments in deposit and payment systems.
Enter transactions on FLEXCUBE, conduct FLEXCUBE Reconciliation.
Repair incoming and enter outgoing CHIPS, Fed and SWIFT messages on MTS.
Support daily operations on Fedline Advantage.
Manage SWIFT Tracker MT103 status notifications using TCA (Transaction Confirmation Application)
Support closing operations for CHIPS and Fedwire on MTS.
Support closing operation for FLEXCUBE / GLCS.
Monitor end of day proof, reconciliation and settlement processes, ensuring that any irregularities are documented and resolved and reported through appropriate channels.
Submit daily and monthly transactional reports to management as needed.
Participate in quarterly and/or mandatory CHIPS, Fedwire and SWIFT alliance testing.
Assist with UAT for MTS as well as other ancillary systems. (WebRP-internal payment module, FLEXCUBE)
Review and clear, or as necessary, escalate to Legal and Compliance for their further review, any Payments and SWIFTs stopped in the FircoSoft Sanctions filter.
Review and update as necessary Internal Operation Procedures (IOPs) to ensure accurate and current.
EXCEPTIONAL DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years of experience in banking related field, preferably in payment processing.
Sufficient working knowledge of Fedwire, CHIPS and SWIFT.
Must have good PC skills.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
The expected base salary ranges from $52,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
