    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    The Payroll Associate will fully own the end-to-end biweekly payroll process. They will work with our Total Rewards & HRIS and People Operations teams to gather all of the needed data and ensure that it is accurately reflected in our system and in each payroll cycle. The Payroll Associate will also own communication to and from Payroll inbox, answering employee questions and working with external parties as needed.

    • Process regular biweekly payroll for ~600 exempt and nonexempt employees (and growing!), distributed across over 30 states, and select planned and unplanned off-cycle payrolls
    • Enter deduction changes in payroll system, including (but not limited to) weekly 401(k) deferral changes, ESPP deferral changes, and wage assignments
    • Partner with Total Rewards & HRIS team on ensuring that all system changes (new hires, terminations, relocations, pay rate adjustments , etc. ) are up-to-date and accurate before opening payrolls
    • Manage Payroll email inbox, including answering employee questions and communicating with external parties
    • Enter new hires, terminations, and department and manager change in expense management platform and accompanying JIRA tickets
    • Complete all applicable state employment/SUI tax registrations
    • Manage all payroll-related content on company intranet site, creating new content (paycheck education for employees) and updating existing content
    • Research tax notices received from federal, state, and local agencies
    • Calculation process automation in payroll system
    • Compile materials for annual 401(k) and financial audits
    • Compile and maintain all payroll records, including all biweekly payroll information, quarterly and year-end documentation, and ad-hoc payroll reporting

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • 2+ years experience in full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing
    • FPC or CPP credential preferred but not required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with comfort using advanced functions, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and ifs/sumifs
    • Experience working in UKG or similar payroll/HRIS solution systems (we currently use UKG)
    • Experience registering in state and local tax jurisdictions

    REPORTS TO: Payroll Lead

    JOB LEVEL: Associate

    The minimum salary for this role is $53,000. The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.

    The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
