THE JOB (THE BIG STUFF):
- Monitors, analyzes and reports on press and media articles mentioning Redwood Credit Union and its entities.
- Provides proofreading, editing, and writing support as needed.
- Supports Communication department needs for video production, including creating or sourcing video content, creating slideshows, and maintaining database of video files.
- Supports annual meeting, grand openings, and other Member events.
- Also supports department budget needs by providing inputs and updates to spreadsheets, generating budget recommendations and monitoring/reporting budget expenditures.
- Coordinates and executes Member mailings (e.g., operational emails and letters, required notices, etc.) and creates written drafts of communications for review and approval by the Communications department management.
- Coordinates/facilitates internal communication efforts such as fact sheet and other collateral updates, PR photo shoots, and other documents and handouts as needed.
- Role includes writing assignments such as drafting select website content, Member communications, supporting social media efforts, etc.

Required Skills
WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE ROLE
- Ability to manage a diverse range of assignments and competing priorities while maintaining excellent service to others and a positive and productive attitude and demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills--both written and oral. Excellent command of the English language including grammar and punctuation.
- Some ability to speak before groups and develop strong public speaking skills is preferred.
- Strong ability in event planning and execution.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, video software, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Suite.
- Some working knowledge or abilities and a desire to learn the principles of photography, graphics, video, and post production elements.
Required Experience
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree and two years' of job-related experience. Financial institution and/or credit union industry experience a plus.
