  • Responsibilities

    Investment Products & Services provides Stifel's advisors specialized advice and support on professional money management, mutual funds, annuities and insurance, retirement plans, financial planning, exchange traded funds, marketing and much more.

    The Intern will represent the Platform Strategy and Reporting Services Team by performing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative duties in support of the functional area. This position will have the opportunity to work in other service areas and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business. This internship will be onsite in Stifel's St. Louis, MO headquarters.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Apply academic knowledge to learning new skills by contributing to various projects.

    • Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within the wealth management industry.

    • Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies.

    • Document required processes for ongoing system support, maintain detailed logs tracking user enhancement requests, participate in requirements gathering for ongoing system updates, and help facilitate user integration and acceptance testing.

    • Participate in with the documentation of required processes for ongoing system or service support, organize requirements gathering sessions for ongoing enhancement requests, and own user integration and acceptance testing efforts.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines while managing a high volume of requests.

    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

    • Ability to combine small amounts of information to form conclusions or plans.

    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

    • Effective time management skills and ability to work on a variety of tasks, changing focus throughout the lifecycle of a project.

    • Interest in expanding knowledge of the wealth management business, including as it relates to investment products.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Pursuing a college degree in Business Administration or related with at least 1 year completed preferred.

    SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
