    Summary

    Under general supervision the Portfolio Analyst facilitates the overall business development of clientele by developing customized Financial Plans, Asset Allocation proposals and designing tailored reporting for new and existing clients. Will be considered instrumental in creating and executing marketing strategies to attract new clients.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Facilitates the overall business development of clientele by developing customized Financial Plans and Asset Allocation proposals. Performs ongoing analysis of the investment portfolios of current clients.
    • Executes marketing strategies to attract new clients.
    • Screens new client prospects, developed through leads and referrals, to determine suitability for addition to group.
    • Produces all High Net Worth (HNW) annual reviews (AR's) using a custom format for recapping presentations. Critically examines current holdings for the AR to evaluate whether action, if any, is warranted. Makes asset allocation recommendations for annual reviews ( AR’s) and develops portfolio recommendations in conjunction with the AR.
    • Creates summary AR's for those not rising to HNW status. Again, examining current holdings for the AR to evaluate whether action, if any, is warranted.
    • Develops customized financial plans and asset allocation proposals, including leveraging the Firm’s proprietary software tools.
    • Research and analyze new and existing client portfolios. Provide recommendations and or/updates to the AR about new opportunities, changes to product, or general matters of significance that may have an investment impact.
    • Produce technical stock analysis worksheet for non-managed stock portfolios to include fundamental chart analysis, Morningstar mutual fund analysis, and review for non-managed accounts.
    • Research and analyze new investment options within Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), mutual funds, and fixed income.
    • Implementation of the wealth strategist design in finalizing transition proposals. This includes developing all SMA paperwork, signature follow up and delivery to Sr. Registered Client Service Associate
    • Ongoing risk management to ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations in day-to-day business activity.
    • Placement of Mutual Fund and stock trades

    Qualifications

    • Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personalized services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Time Management - Managing one’s own time and priorities to ensure the meeting of deadlines. Ability to recognize new and more pressing priorities then organize them accordingly is a must. Knowing when to request help is a must.
    • Organization - Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, responsibilities and deadlines; is able to follow through and accomplish goals, manage expectations appropriately and use firm’s resources efficiently.
    • Oral and Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken or written form so that others will understand.
    • Not being concerned with optics and are willing to articulate a position for consideration.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred, Master's degree or equivalent preferred
    • 4 years financial services experience required, 3+ years’ experience with financial planning applications/software preferred

    Licenses and Credentials

    • Series 7 & 63 required
    • CFP ®, preferred

    Systems and Technology

    Adept in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to enter, edit and report data in personnel software/database and the ability to create and maintain simple spreadsheets.
