    SUMMARY

    Under general supervision the Portfolio Analyst is responsible for investment management on a national team of Financial Advisors. Under active and direct guidance from the Senior Partners, the analyst fulfills a wide range of analytical assignments and data collection, also while performing administrative duties integral to the team’s portfolios, including trading.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Organize and assist in the maintenance of complete client account and trade-related records for the Financial Advisors and certain required files for the branch office.

    • Perform various administrative and operational duties integral to portfolio maintenance (i.e. trading, model changes, system maintenance).

    • Provide reports and other information to the Financial Advisors, as needed.

    • Build and maintain Excel-based investment models

    • Under direct supervision, writes investment summaries for the Financial Advisors and clients on team’s investment process, investment outlook, portfolio changes, and investment results.

    • Critically examines current holdings to evaluate whether action is warranted.

    • Manage risk and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations in day-to-day business activity.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    • Time Management - Managing one’s own time and priorities to ensure the meeting of deadlines.

    • Oral and Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken or written form so that others will understand.

    • Basic knowledge of investment products.

    • General understanding of the investment brokerage industry and security regulations

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.

    • 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.

    LICENSES & CREDENTIALS

    • Series 7 & Series 66 required (or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire)

    SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY

    • Adept in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to enter, edit and report data in personnel software/database and the ability to create and maintain simple spreadsheets.
