Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer/MicroStrategy Developer
Job Description
The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer is a key contributor to Privia’s Business Analytics team in developing reporting solutions in our MicroStrategy BI platform. Areas of focus include report/dashboard development and architecture. This position interfaces with Privia’s IT/Product Engineering team on data layer interdependencies in addition to the duties listed below. Primary Job Duties:
Development of the MicroStrategy analytics and reporting solutions approach around Dossiers, Data Exploration, Dashboards and Reporting
Development of Semantic Data model including designing attributes, metrics, and hierarchies over Privia’s production EDW
Install, configure, deploy, automate, monitor, and optimize the performance of a MicroStrategy 2020 application on a Windows platform
Integral part of internal scrum team working to deliver commitments on time and with good quality
Conduct internal functional and data reviews
Troubleshoot and trace data quality issues, and communicate clearly to all stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders to create ad-hoc reports and provide on-going analytical support
Follow best practices for object development, object maintenance, acceptance testing, and production deployments for all development efforts
Develop and maintain existing automated mechanisms for critical processes using tools such as System Manager Workflow or Python
Manage and maintain Roles, Groups, Folders, Projects, etc.
Assist in executing MicroStrategy platform upgrades including major and minor patch releases as requested
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in IT or quantitative field preferred
MicroStrategy 2020 experience
At least 3 years of hands on reporting and dashboarding using MicroStrategy platform, in a Windows Server environment
At least one year of hands on project architecture, schema design, or administration including installation, configuration, and performance tuning
Experience with Integrity Manager, Command Manager, Object Manager, and Security Administration
Experience using relational DBMS, such as SQL Server, and Google Cloud Platform
Proficient in writing and understanding SQL
Strong analytics and problem-solving skills
Consistently produces clear, concise status reports
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks
Experience in healthcare is preferred
Must comply with all HIPAA Rules and Regulations
