    Job Description

    The LIS Workflow Specialist **** is a key contributor on our Ancillary Services team to successfully optimize lab workflows within the physician practices participating with Privia’s physician office lab (POL), and other ancillary offerings. Oversee functions of lab operations that includes staff draw, In-Office Phlebotomy and Patient Service Centers (PSCs). A liaison between the POL and our physician office staff and reference lab phlebotomy supervisors, this role will ensure an efficient and standardized practice is adhered to at all physician practice locations. This individual will also be responsible for supporting operations and ancillary services at the PMG Mid-Atlantic Lab to drive overall results. Problem resolution with issues including but not limited to: phlebotomy and swab collecting staff, specimen tracking, specimen resolution, Logistics Couriers and Customer Service

    Primary Job Duties:

    • Provide training and coaching for a team of phlebotomy supervisors working in physician practices and Patient Service Centers
    • Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
    • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including physician office office staff, phlebotomy and PSC supervisors and management
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
    • Support the set-up of phlebotomy services in physician practices and PSCs
    • Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
    • Investigates/resolves and responds to customer complaints appropriately and effectively
    • Support customer service inquiries from physician practices
    • Support reconciliation processes of PMG lab team
    • Travel to additional sites as necessary

    • Demonstrate strategic thinking skills and assess situations carefully; delivering scalable recommendations and results.
    • Develop presentation and general communication materials through the use of e-mail, powerpoint, etc.
    • Present information, both in person and remotely, to audiences ranging from individuals to small and large groups.
    • Provide best-in-class customer service to physician practices to ensure issues are resolved and clients are satisfied.
    • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements, and where applicable, ensures all Federal, State & local licensure requirements are met
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred. MBA or other healthcare related advanced degree is preferred.
    • 2+ years prior supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership experience
    • 5+ years experience in phlebotomy, laboratory or other healthcare environments
    • 1+ year previous healthcare experience required; working with physicians and medical groups is preferred.
    • Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Must be familiar and proficient in the use of software (e.g. EHR systems, Laboratory Information System (LIS) CRM, Microsoft Office or equivalent, etc.).
    • Comfort in functioning independently and autonomously.
    • Project management experience with the skill to prioritize multiple projects and urgent deliverables while providing exceptional client service.
    • Appropriately communicate with leadership.
    • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

    The salary range for this role is $48,750-$65,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
