TECHNOLOGY PRODUCT MANAGER

Delivery of information services products is becoming more technical everyday. Because of this, the role of product managers as well as technical professionals is changing. To be successful leading a product today, a deeper understanding of technology and the systems supporting your product are needed. This role helps to bridge that gap between business knowledge and deep technical understanding.

As an intern in technical product management, you will work with our technical product managers to understand market needs, collaborate with marketing/sales to codify business requirements, and translate those into functional requirements for technical architecture and engineering. You will gain knowledge in how to set a vision in a fast pace business environment as well as how that is executed to drive customer satisfaction and business value. You will also get first had experience on how our business makes prioritization decisions across many varying stakeholders, the inputs to the process, and how to drive alignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation date before or on December 2023
• Working to obtain degree in technology (Engineering Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc.)
• Strong analytical, structured problem solving, decision-making and communication abilities
• Ability to work on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the internship
• Understands the big picture as well as pays attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to team members at various levels.
• Ability to break complex concepts down so that internal and external clients can understand them.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of decision making skills
• You are able to learn new processes and computer-based applications of varying complexity and create training materials for those applications
• Liaise with project sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure project is completed and meets business requirements.
• Engage directly with Product Owners to ensure they are executing on projects
• Attend and lead planning sessions with internal teams
• Assist technical teams with business knowledge and understanding of requirements
• Develop communication materials and lead communication efforts around the product, priorities and future roadmaps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven history of taking on a project and seeing it through to completion
• Familiarity with any coding language (SQL, Python, C, C++, Java)
• Leadership skills and involvement
• Familiarity with agile, scrum and SDLC
