Administrative Assistant - Legal Administrative Assistant - House Counsel Our Administrative Assistants handle the daily administrative needs of our insurance defense litigation law offices for our House Counsel Attorneys. You will be responsible for filing motions, sending out subpoena deadlines, following up on phone calls to providers and collaborating with the attorneys on strategy. Additionally, youll be opening files, following up on legal discovery, and handling legal document production. This role offers you the chance to work directly with attorneys and the legal support staff to expand your knowledge in a fast-paced legal environment at a stable company. Duties and Responsibilities: * Support 3-6 attorneys with records procurement * Issue Subpoena and/or HIPAAs (subpoenas by mail and/or process server) * Update records request screen, provider contact cards & tasks accordingly * Send GF letters for HIPAA & Draft MTD (HIPAAs) * Follow up with provider until resolution of task * Pay invoices associated with records * Serve opposing counsel with records Must have qualifications * High School diploma or GED * Minimum of 3 years work experience in an Administrative role * The ability to operate a PC with a strong working knowledge of associated software, including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others * The ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work assignments while working independently What we also look for * experience working in a law firm * e-filing * subpoenas Our Company As one of the largest auto insurance companies in the nation, Progressive offers the confidence and stability that comes with working for a growing, always evolving organization.
