Effective performance requires judgment and action under direct supervision of a professional pharmacist as required by the State of Michigan. Applies and understand requirement of specific dispensing requirements due to age related difference. Provides care to neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescents and geriatric patients under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Responsibilities include: Assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to ensure optimal patient outcome Follows Federal, State and Local laws and regulation in regards to medication control Dispenses and checks all medication and associated products with absolute accuracy and professional judgment Manages inventory, departmental policies and procedures, money and other fiscal responsibilities as required Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed Maintains positive working relationships Demonstrates effective communications Demonstrates initiative and accepts accountability with work related issues Job Requirements Must have a high school diploma or GED Must be enrolled in, and in good standing, of a professional division of an accredited College of Pharmacy Must have a current license as a Pharmacy Intern issued by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, age, disability, military or veteran status, height, weight, familial or marital status, or genetics.
