This entry-level position is designed to provide a current student or recent college graduate with a valuable opportunity to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-life work situations. Primary Duties : The individual will assist and participate as appropriate in the following areas. Shadowing and observation experiences will be scheduled as well, permitting a wider range of administrative experience that might help to broaden the learning experience. Conduct social media research and brainstorm ideas for engaging, creative and timely social media content Create social media posts for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, including graphics, written content, videos, etc. Monitor social media activity on ProMedica-owned accounts, including reviews, messages, comments, etc. Assist with social and digital marketing campaign initiatives Participate and/or coordinates projects and analytical tasks as assigned Prepare reports as requested Assist in maintaining established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality and safety standards Attend meetings within scope of internship Participate in shadowing/observation of departments in areas of interest within the organization Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements College/University junior or senior, or recent graduate of a BA or BS program in public relations, communication, marketing, journalism or equivalent area of focus Knowledge of social media and marketing strategies, journalism or media relations Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and intermediate knowledge of and professional experience with Microsoft Office programs, Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented Access to reliable transportation Ability to respect values and actively support the contributions and diversity of all team members Availability to work 20 hours per week during ProMedica headquarters hours of operation (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday); Scheduled hours/days to be agreed upon at start of internship Ability to make a six-month minimum commitment to the internship ProMedica is a mission-based, not-for-profit integrated healthcare organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
