  • Responsibilities

    The Property Strategy & Execution team is responsible for determining the proper strategy for each of our 1,300 branches, 100 office buildings and 300 remote ATMs and managing the non-facilities related aspects of these properties. This includes site selection, acquisition, and disposal, lease negotiations, sub-tenant interactions, and responding to items such as Estoppels, and SNDAs. We also manage all the leases for the company and manage the building of all new branches.

    As an Intern on the team you will be an active participant in daily execution of team initiatives.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Filing leases and related documentation as required per records management policy.
    • Assisting with further implementation of best practices for lease administration and portfolio strategy process. Including documenting procedures and developing risk control inventory where applicable.
    • Assisting with the preparation of lease documents for execution.
    • Conduction site visits to existing locations and new sites under construction
    • Performing due diligence on scenarios including examination of lease documents and proposals received from prospective landlords and tenants.
    • Participating in survey of space use and design to determine if it is effectively serving the needs of the business. This will include data gathering and manipulation and analysis of that data and existing data.
    • Assisting with the internal and external reporting and overhaul of that reporting.
    • Assisting with various data collection tasks for the Branch Network Revitalization project.
    • The Property team will work with the candidate to explore areas of interest to them and provide them as much exposure as they would like to various other areas of the bank through job shadowing and other opportunities.

  • Qualifications
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related major.
    • Must possess strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic corporate finance (P&Ls, Balance Sheets)
    • Ability and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks.
    • Ability to follow up, and see a project or task through to completion

    • Ability to quickly learn new programs and software such as Centerstone and JLL OVLA
