    Associate Actuary TITLE: Associate Actuary (The Prudential Insurance Company of America Hartford, CT) DUTIES: Perform GAAP valuation and reporting, including VOBA and DAC and assistance with the annual assumption reviews. Perform STAT valuation and reporting, including separate account contracts with minimum guarantees (Regulation 128 contracts). Provide valuation and reporting support for cash flow testing and loss recognition testing/gross premium valuation and capital requirements. Lead valuation and reporting support for statutory supplemental and GAAP disclosure, including Fair Value Disclosure. Lead and collaborate with various business partners on annual Actuarial Memorandum and statutory filings. Perform analysis and draft year-end Separate Account Memorandum as well as assumption review and setting. Define business requirements to model contracts in a new platform as well as additional requirements to develop a more automated process. Collaborate closely with Model Governance and IT business partners to implement these enhanced models and processes. Collaborate with members across valuation, modeling, pricing and corporate teams to develop and enhance existing processes and analytics for GAAP and STAT valuation. Perform control governance and work with auditors on checking and auditing processes to maintain adherence with appropriate corporate governance, controls, documentation policies and procedures. Utilize computer and modeling skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, VBA programming and actuarial modeling software to develop automated processes. EOE. REQTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as an Actuary II, Actuary III or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: STAT and GAAP valuation and reporting; Cash flow testing and loss recognition testing/gross premium valuation; Actuarial Memorandum; Fair Value; Control governance and working with auditors on checking and auditing processes; Assumption review and setting; and computer and modeling skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, VBA programming and actuarial modeling software to develop automated processes. Must also hold ASA designation.
