The basic function is to conduct outbound autodialer collections or teleservices calls to cardholders who have been queued to the representative's station by an autodialer campaign and to respond to incoming cardholder "return" calls from cardholders previously contacted by an outbound call.nbsp; Advise cardholders of procedures in product utilization, address issues in security, and provide status information on accounts and direct cardholders in resolving disputes with merchants.nbsp; Role Responsibilities: * Make demand for payment and explain payment obligations, take account actions, and record call contents in accordance with department calling scripts and procedures created for the relevant delinquency queue and subscribing member credit union. * Inform and encourage credit union members to take advantage of promotional campaigns. Promote and close sales of credit card and non-credit card financial products and cross-sell products such as Card Activation Promotional Rates, Non-Credit Card products etc. * Work in teams, to handle calls and call situations identified as requiring team approaches, in accordance with department policy. Advise cardholders of their past due payment(s), the payment amount necessary to bring the account current, the payment due date, and payment address. * Participate actively in monthly continuous improvement training sessions, to assure that appropriate collections calling techniques are developed to respond to new and difficult calling situations. * Respond to cardholder inquiries utilizing FDR system to provide general information on cardholder's Visa and MasterCard accounts while controlling and managing the calls. * Process address changes received from FDR regional payment processing locations. * Provide cardholder information on methods for resolution of merchant errors and disputes and on methods to process matters of credit and collection affecting their account. * May serve as a back-up as a Contact Center Representative, as needed. * Comply with legal requirements applicable to collections or teleservice calls, including the Federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. * Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Role Requirements Education: * High School Diploma with focus on college level business classes or equivalent combination of education and experience required.nbsp; Experience/ Skills: * Minimum two (2) years experience customer service experience required; preferably in collections or telemarketing. * PC Windows-based software experience with proficiency in Word and Excel required.nbsp;nbsp; * Knowledge and working experience utilizing an auto -dialer preferred. * Experience in initiating cardholder disputes preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. * Ability to utilize personal computer, telephone headset, facsimile, copier, calculator, all aspects of the telephone system and other general office equipment. * Ability to communicate verbally in a polite, courteous, and calm manner and have ability to explain confusing and complicated topics in a clear and concise manner. * Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. * Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in making quick and accurate decisions. * Ability to handle confidential material. nbsp;nbsp; Our corporate value statements represent PSCU's commitment to providing the highest quality service to our member-owners.
