    DESCRIPTION

    The Quantitative Analyst is responsible for working with the Quantitative Analysis and Forecasting Team to develop predictive models and provide analysis to support the decision making of auto loan origination and servicing. 

    ABOUT YOU

    • Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or other related quantitative fields required.
    • Ability to program in SAS or R
    • Ability to analyze large datasets
    • Ability to communicate complex mathematical and statistical concepts
    • Strongly detail oriented
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with other team members
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Previous quantitative modeling experience preferred
    • Previous experience in processing and analyzing large complex datasets preferred

    What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Quantitative Analyst?

    • Apply analytical techniques to provide data-driven findings to support business decision making
    • Under the guidance of senior staff, develop predictive models of auto loan origination and servicing
    • Utilize data mining to identify features to support model development
    • Assist with validation of models developed by other team members
    • Work with other teams such as IT to conduct model implementation tests
    • Develop and execute model monitoring programs, interpret and investigate results
    • Document model development and test procedures
    • Other duties and Ad-Hoc projects as requested
