The Mizuho USA Equity Derivatives business is looking for an Associate / VP level interest rate quant to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will work directly with the head equity quant and support the desk in model analysis and testing, model documentation, and automation of workflow processes. In particular, equity hybrid derivatives will be an area of focus.

Required qualifications are:

• A graduate degree in quantitative finance, science, mathematics, or engineering.

• Work experience in fixed income or hybrid derivatives of approximately 2 + years.

• Solid understanding of derivatives pricing is required and basic knowledge of equities, FX, credit, and/or commodities is a plus.

• Strong quantitative and communication skills as well as the ability to take ownership of problems and work independently.

• Programming skills, preferably in Python, are also expected.
