Quantitative Internship Program: Summer 2020
Wells Fargo & Company is a nationwide, diversified, community-based financial services company that is headquartered in San Francisco with major locations around the country. We are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to work with our large community of quants, who are working on a wide range of problems. Areas of applications include: loss and revenue forecasting, credit decisions, financial crimes, fair lending, operational risks, and stress testing. We use state-of-the-art statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to develop, assess, and audit models in these areas. We also use natural language processing and deep learning algorithms to model information in unstructured data (such as text and audio).
QUANTITATIVE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (QIP):
This is a 10-week summer internship that starts in June 2020. It is designed to provide interns with professional and industry experience and prepare them to develop, validate or audit various quantitative models. There are two major tracks.
Depending on the interns’ backgrounds and interests, they will be placed in one of the following quantitative areas: Credit Decision Support, Credit Risk and Revenue Modeling, Corporate Risk Analytics including Financial Crimes and Operational Risks, Trades Products and Front Desk Quants, Mortgage Risk, AI Modeling, Model Validation, and Audit.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should be pursuing a Masters or PhD in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative field WITH AN EXPECTED COMPLETION DATE OF DECEMBER 2020 OR LATER;
Ideally, the candidate would be graduating between December 2020 and June 2021;
