Overview Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine to
moderately complex clerical duties in support of specific department
programs and initiatives. Associates in this job classification perform
data entry, filing and general clerical support functions and are
responsive to a high volume of paper/electronic transaction processing
and customer calls. This job classification requires knowledge of
general office operations and customer service practices and the ability
to contribute to the smooth operation of the office on a daily basis.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES * Acts as HR
liaison to store management regarding the status of the pre-employment
testing process and transactions in HRIS and applicant tracking system.
- Maintains documentation and files (paper and electronic) timely and
accurately. Performs audits of files. Inserts and removes specified
materials. * Enters and maintains data in the HRIS system or other
databases; creates reports from databases. * Performs research to answer
routine to moderately complex inquiries. Resolves routine discrepancies
according to established procedures. Resolves questions and problems and
refers more complex issues. * Compiles data from various sources.
Prepares and distributes routine reports. * Complies with any applicable
regulatory requirements and union contract rules as they relate to area
of specialty. * Functions as the process owner for assigned processes.
Provides first-level assistance to store leaders and other HR Support
Specialists to troubleshoot and monitor the process for timeliness and
proper utilization. * Processes complex verifications including Equal
Employment Department unemployment claims and subpoenas. * Generates,
copies and distributes a variety of documents. * Answers telephones and
refers callers to appropriate party. * Performs a variety of office
support functions which may include: typing correspondence and reports,
sorting and distributing mail, greeting visitors, ordering office
supplies, and fax retrieval and distribution. The above statements are

providing resource support and resolution to moderately complex

of department files, systems and other sensitive information.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High
School Diploma or G.E.D plus one (1) to three (3) years experience or
the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. *
Experience with PeopleSoft preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: * General
knowledge of office procedures. * General knowledge of regulatory
requirements in area of specialty. SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Ability to
operate office equipment, a personal computer and related software
applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications. *
Ability to type with sufficient speed and accuracy to perform job
functions as required. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of
information. * Ability to maintain effective working relationships. *
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to
operate a 10-key by touch. * Ability to perform mathematical
calculations to include additions, multiplication, subtraction,
division, percentages and decimals. * Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. * Demonstrated
organizational and problem solving skills. * Ability to work
independently and be flexible to changing work priorities. * Detail
