    Job Description

    Ramboll is seeking an entry-level Ecologist or Biodiversity Specialist. Our biodiversity and ecology team supports clients with a wide range of environmental issues including biodiversity and ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, risk and impact assessment, and ecological data science. This job will require travel to field sites, conferences, and internal meetings. Travel may be national or international and may be up to 20% of time.

    Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

    • Conducting comprehensive literature reviews about specific topics

    • Summarizing technical documentation

    • Gathering, harmonizing, and analyzing different types of data from multiple sources

    • Generating figures and tables

    • Writing of reports, white papers, and peer-review manuscripts

    • Collecting, entering, and organizing field data

    • Actively participating in a growing network of Ramboll sustainability practitioners that span our services across environment/health, energy, and water

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a discipline relevant to ecology and biodiversity such as terrestrial or marine ecology, wildlife or restoration ecology, forestry, conservation, environmental science, or bioinformatics.
    • Prior field work experience, including data entry and data management
    • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
