DevOps Engineer II - Location - Austin, TX - Type - Full Time The DevOps Engineer II is responsible for working with an experienced DevOps team to build and maintain well architected, monitored and secured systems operating above and beyond audit and DevOps standards. This position is also tasked with spreading positive culture across lines of communication focused on the principles of knowledge sharing and blameless culture. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: - Work with an engineering team to produce quality, testable and maintainable systems - Write process automation and remove manual steps - Build and maintain monitoring and alerting for cloud distributed systems - Develop tooling for pushing code into production (Jenkins, GIT, GitHub) - Collaborate with development and operations team members - Collaborate with an exceptional DevOps team and always look for improvements Skills and Requirements: - Experience managing and maintaining production services at scale - Development experience with at least one programming language. We use Python, Javascript and PHP. - Working knowledge of containerization technologies - Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and building automation around their APIs - Competent with Ansible, Salt, Chef or Puppet.
