    Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG) has a job opening for a full-time Aerospace Simulation Engineer and is seeking enthusiastic candidates wanting a challenging career with good growth opportunities.  Responsibilities will include:

    • Contribute to modeling and simulation activities in support of various missile defense initiatives
    • Developing and using cutting-edge tools and techniques to model missile aerodynamics and propulsion systems
    • Characterization of missile system performance and phenomenology
    • Documenting and presenting work to group members, management, and customers
    • Collaborating with both Mechanical/Aerospace Engineers and Software Engineers on Missile Systems Modeling and Simulation development
    • Analyzing intelligence reports and informing design decisions

    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
    • B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
    • 5-10 Years work experience

    Strong computational/programming skills (Python, C++ , bash)

    Demonstrated experience and capability in one or more of the following areas

    • Hypersonics
    • Aerodynamics
    • Dynamic Systems Modeling
    • Simulation or Computational Engineering

    Ability to work independently or on a team

    Demonstrated ability to communicate well through written documentation and oral presentations

    Demonstrated ability to assume leadership roles on project tasks

    Motivated self-starter dedicated to improving process and mentoring junior engineers

     Desired Qualifications:

    • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

    • Experience modeling hypersonic phenomena, especially high-altitude and re-entry

    • M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant research field

    • Experience developing object-oriented software in a business environment
